
Master Shigeru Takashina is the Chief Instructor of the Shotokan Karate Center
and the South Atlantic Karate Association. Sensei Takashina completed the
Instructor School of the
Japan Karate Association (JKA) in Tokyo in 1968, and
graduated from Ryukoku University in Kyoto, Japan.
Sensei Takashina was the Captain of the Japan team in the 1st World Karate
Championship in 1970, with a perfect win, held in Toyko, Japan. Since moving
to the United States in 1972, Sensei Takashina has devoted his life to
promoting and teaching the fine art of Karate.
